ChAOS(카오스) is a 5-membered boyband under Winning InSight, the entertainment company that’s home to artists like Norazo and Piggy Dolls. They are called “machodolls” for their manly appearance and style with a funky sound. Debut january 6th, 2012.

Meaning of “ChAOS”

“CHAOS” refers to the formless state preceding the creation of the universe or cosmos in Greek mythology. The early stage of chaos and disorder. The group was named ChAOS because they want to put some ‘chaos’ in the music industry.

Fanclub name “ChaoNyx”

The official fanclub name of ChAOS is ‘ChaoNyx’ (카오니스). This name is a combination of ‘ChAOS’ and ‘Nyx’, who is the goddess of the night in Greek mythology. She emerged out of Chaos (a “vast and dark” void). Fans refer to themselves as ‘ChaoNyx’. (Pronounced like KaoNiss). Often it’s shortened to simply ‘Ka Ni’ (카니).

History of ChAOS

Debut - January 6th, 2012
ChAOS debuted with the digital single [She is coming]. The title track is a song which combines funky rhythms and powerful rock `n´ roll. The song starts with the sound of a crying wolf which shows off a cool and macho image. On the single is also the b-side [Last Night], a heartful break-up song with a cool synth sound in the chorus that shows off their impressive vocals.

First mini album - July 27th, 2012
ChAOS released their first studio album July 27th with the title track [RACER]. The concept for this showed them as rugged and manly guys, which was a 180° transformation from their sleek and playful debut look. The album also included the songs from their debut single.

Second single - September 21st, 2012
For their second single, ChAOS went back to their funky roots with an uplifting song about a man who is willing to become invisible in order to kiss the girl he loves. The exciting rhythm with a rock-and-roll style, combined with their outstanding vocals made it a very catchy and nice song!
